I'm Elspeth, a 29-year-old professional copywriter living in Nottingham, sharing my life with my husband and my many plants!
Growing up, I had a fascination for words! My mum, a self-professed dictionary, would teach me new words in the car on the way to school, and I would spend my day attempting to use those words in my classes and homework. By the time I was 16, I was hooked on writing, reading and later on, during college, analysing magazines and TV adverts for the type of language they used.
Using the family computer, I wrote my very first blog post, a simple piece that marked the beginning of a special journey. Ever since that moment, I have kept writing, fueled by my passion for storytelling and the art of persuasion.
As I grew older, it felt like the natural path to follow, to pursue a career in copywriting, where I could bring together my love for language and my desire to share meaningful stories.

I'm a marketing executive for a multi-faceted e-commerce business and a copywriting freelancer!
I've professionally managed social media pages since 2018 and have been writing for as long as I can remember - I love what I do and can't imagine doing anything else.
My favourite thing about my current role is working with a diverse product and service range, which allows me to keep up with upcoming trends within the industry.
Here, I'd like to share a few things about myself. In my free time, I love to do Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). BJJ is not just a sport but a lifestyle that keeps me physically and mentally fit. The discipline, focus, and camaraderie that come with training have become an integral part of my life.
Another passion of mine is coffee. I can't start my day without a cup of coffee, and I enjoy trying out different coffee shops and roasts. Whether it's a flat white, mocha or a simple espresso, coffee is my go-to drink.
Lastly, I love to travel. Exploring new places, meeting new people, and experiencing different cultures is something that excites me. From hiking in the mountains to relaxing on the beach, travelling is a way for me to escape the daily routine and gain new perspectives.
